We all have COVID Stories.... One of mine is in this picture. Masked up and pushing a wheelbarrow full of topsoil as fast as I could muster....
So it began with a nonprofit named Urbanworks, LLC to transform an empty urban lot into an educational pocket garden. We reviewed multiple design options, consolidated ideas into a singular vision, then used the plan for funding raising. After donations came in, Steve Curtis found local residents who wanted to help install the design. The garden features true native perennials, variety of edible fruits and vegetables, and an outdoor classroom.
Creating a moment of Beauty when the rest of the world was going through hell. That's what matters.
