Working closely with the Builder, we crafted a landscape masterplan that has been culturally articulated with a strong appreciation to its American heritage.
The front façade remains open and welcoming to guests. The constant stream of locals passing by are forever welcomed with a changing variety of seasonal arrangements, both at the sidewalk and at the home. The antique brick walkway is narrow and purposeful, just as you find them in Williamsburg.
As you proceed along the side, you will pass through a custom gate complete with a cannonball closer. Through the passage of yews, we come across a private veranda and garden. A Bubbler fountain is found inside the circle of boxwoods, annual plantings, and raised metal urns. David Austin Roses line the edge to provide fragrance while relaxing outdoors.
Passing into the backyard, a small Kitchen Garden provides an organic source of nourishment. The cross pollinating Espalier apples provide a sense of order along the vertical plane. Inside the rear lawn, a pergola lies along a sight line of the home. The lawn was lined with Arborvitae and hydrangea for evergreen screening and summertime blooms.
